Gaia
( Magna Mater )
From primordial Chaos arose Gaia the Earth-goddess and progenitor of the pre-Olympian elemental gods. Through parthenogenesis she gave birth to Uranus, the universe and sky god. Ourea, the hills and mountains, and Pontus the sea.
