I try to remember that what I was taught is the result of an incremental artistic development spanning centuries across which mosaic has continued to evolve. I'd like my work to be a worthy descendant of this heritage and contribute something to this journey.
Things are rarely what they seem, there's usually something else going on. Sometimes you catch a glimpse of those parallel truths just long enough to awaken. It's all there in front of your eyes, just below the surface....
